High points of the area insertion/tutorial
  • masaya na gusto nilang matuto
  • makulit ang mga kids pero masaya pa rin
  • we found out that kids are aware of poverty issues
  • taught kids math and english
  • library (venue) helped
  • maraming tutors!
  • less gulo
  • kids understood
  • mabilis matuto ang kids
  • load was divided
  • hindi umulan

  • walang first-aid kit (may nasugatan na bata)
  • kids don't want catechism (persuasion->candies)
  • makulit ang kids
  • nanghahampas ang kids
  • may mga nag-away
  • hindi focused and ibang kids-> give them break in one area; huwag paalisin
  • may mga unenrolled kids (distraction) -> make a play space
  • sobrang dami ang kids
  • hindi nag-aaral -> give them more visual aids
  • magulo -> talk to them, make them understand
  • aptitude does not match lessons -> practice

    I think we should really exert effort in just accepting kids who are in our tutorials.
    I know it is hard to say "no". Not all of us have the morality to say it. Up until today, parents ask me if they could get their children in the tutorials. But we must be strong enough to say "no", to reprimand if wee see the need for it. We teach and we are considerate but we shouldn't be lax. Think of the kids who went under due process to get in. They won't be recieving the attention they should get if we consider every kid.
    As for kids who are "magulo", I think we should talk to their parents. Of course, I'm a bit biased on this one as I am (I think) the recieving end of the "kaguluhan" of the small chikitings. Hay... Will talk to parents. We talked to the parents duirng the start of the semester anyways and said that we will remain in contact.
